But that\u2019s exactly what replaced the black loading screen. Like a scene from hollywood, the game temporarily froze as it launched, preventing any attempt to clear the screen. The game unfroze just before clearing the screen\u201d said a blogger named <em>Charliehorse55<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The blame was placed firmly on <strong>Nvidia<\/strong>, with the blogger moaning that <strong>Nvidia GPUs<\/strong> don&#8217;t flush the memory buffer at the end of a browsing session, and neither does <strong>Google Chrome<\/strong>, so even if you&#8217;ve been very careful to use Incognito mode, your secrets may well come back to haunt you, because they can&#8217;t be deleted. In fact, you can&#8217;t rub one out. Not one.<\/p>\n<p><em>Charliehorse55<\/em> said in his blog: &#8220;This is a serious problem. It breaks the operating system\u2019s user boundaries by allowing non-root users to spy on each other. Additionally, it doesn\u2019t need to be specifically exploited to harm users &#8211; it can happen purely by accident.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anyone using a shared computer could be exposing anything displayed on their screen to other users of the computer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After earlier acknowledging the problem, <strong>Nvidia<\/strong> has seemingly realised that it&#8217;s not at fault, and later stated that the problem is due to memory management in <strong>Apple\u2019s MAC OS X Software<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nvidia<\/strong> futher stated, \u201cThe <strong>NVIDIA<\/strong> driver adheres to policies set by the operating system and our driver is working as expected.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have not seen this issue on <em>Windows<\/em>, where all application-specific data is cleared before memory is released to other applications.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apple<\/strong> however are yet to say anything on the issue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new bug in Apple systems with Nvidia graphics cards can expose private information \u2014 but according to Nvidia, it\u2019s not something they can fix.
